After graduating from Wingate College, Long joined Long Beverage shortly after school.  In his years working for Long Beverage, he has enjoyed the dedication that all his co-workers have shown for the company.  He has watched many of the families grow up around him.  He believes that community involvement is key to the success of their company and it shows by all his personal involvement in a multitude of events. 

 

Long has served on the Governors Highway Safety Commission and Governors DUI Task Force.  He was recently the Chairman of the North Carolina Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association and is currently the Political Action Chairman.  Currently, he was appointed by Governor Roy Cooper and Secretary Larry Hall to the NC4ME Board and the North Carolina Military Affairs Commission.  Along with that, he is the Co-Chair for the Jim Valvano Kids Klassic, which has raised more than 4 million dollars for pediatric cancer research, for Duke Children’s Hospital.  He has traveled and worked tirelessly in assisting the Kids Klassic and all of what it supports.   

                                    

Long has enjoyed watching the success of the company and being a part of so many co-worker’s life’s.
